Jake J. Glicker

Areas of Practice

Education

Jake’s practice is to empower organizations working for equitable, long-run economic growth. He serves as outside general counsel to privately held business and nonprofits in a range of industries, including circular fashion, retail and e-commerce, cleantech, green energy and mobility, food and beverage, and industrial safety. His practice emphasizes early-stage financing, intellectual property protection and licensing, and business contracting.

As a strategic partner to organizational leadership, Jake helps facilitate business growth, protect against operational risks, and shape efficient legal structures and outcomes. He couples deep diligence and technical ability with empathy for the incentives and relationships on each side of every transaction.

Jake also works extensively in real estate syndication and financing, purchases and sales, and in commercial and residential leasing and property management. He advises property owners on development matters, including land use, entitlements, and zoning.

Away from the law, Jake is with plants. He manages his gardens at his home in Ojai using principles of permaculture and regenerative agriculture to cultivate citrus and other crops and botanicals. He is an avid home chef, outdoorsman, traveler, and athlete.
